This is the card I recommend most often if you want free hotel nights. The current welcome offer is up to 110,000 Marriott Bonvoy points, which can get you several free nights at Marriott hotels around the world. Add in the annual Free Night Award, and it’s a card that’s worth keeping year after year. The elevated welcome bonus is available until September 22, 2026.

American Express® Cobalt Card
If I could recommend only one travel rewards credit card to most Canadians, this would be it. The American Express Cobalt earns an incredible 5x Membership Rewards points on eligible groceries, restaurants, and food delivery, making it the fastest way for most families to build points with everyday spending.
